AUSTIN, Texas (May 26, 2011)—In only a few months, the fifth annual Lab Quality Congab will bring together clinical laboratory managers and pathology leaders from around the world to broaden their skills, deepen their knowledge, and meet professionals best positioned to advance their careers. Lab Quality Confab is designed and organized to be the ultimate resource in Lean, Six Sigma, ISO, and other important process improvements and quality management systems. It’s the one-stop shop for all that’s best, new, and effective.

This year’s conference will take place on November 15-16, 2011, at the Hyatt Regency in San Antonio, Texas. Lab Quality Confab is unique because it is the only lab industry conference devoted exclusively to the use of Lean, Six Sigma, process improvement methods, and ISO 15189 in the management and operations of hospitals, clinical laboratories, and pathology groups. It brings together quality practitioners, consultants, and experts to enrich the networking benefits.

The 2011 agenda is to include two full days—and more than 50 sessions—devoted exclusively to process improvement and quality management techniques. Those who should be sure to attend include hospital and health system administrators; clinical laboratory and anatomic pathology executives, administrators, pathologists, and PhDs; quality program managers and quality team members; and vendors, consultants, and quality management educators. Last year’s conference attracted 270 laboratory leaders from the United States and five other countries—Canada, Germany, Japan, Brazil, and New Zealand.

Corporate benefactors included Ortho Clinical Diagnostics and Beckman Coulter. The list of corporate sponsors included such respected lab industry firms as ARUP Laboratories, Chi Solutions, Institute for Quality Management in Healthcare, Labotix Automation, Inc., Roche Diagnostics, Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, and Sysmex America Inc.

Registration is now open. Editors and reporters are invited to attend. For more information and to register, visit http://www.labqualityconfab.com or call, toll-free, 800-560-6363.
