AUSTIN, TEXAS (October 20, 2021) – How will the No Surprises Act impact laboratories, diagnostic providers, and specialty physician groups? A new, free webinar brought to you by Dark Daily and sponsored by XIFIN, Inc, will help organizations be prepared.
The Practical Impacts of the No Surprises Act on Laboratories, Diagnostic Providers, and Specialty Physician Groups, to be hosted at 1pm EST on November 17, will provide a review of the circumstances under which the No Surprises Act is relevant, as well as how and when the Act applies to both independent and hospital outreach laboratories. It will also cover some state-specific rules and real-world examples such as the difference between how an out-of-network claim was handled prior to the No Surprises Act and how it is handled under the rules of the No Surprises Act.
Surprise billing occurs when patients unknowingly receive care from an out-of-network provider. The new law targets balance billing, when providers attempt to recover the difference between in-network and out-of-network charges not covered by payors.
This 60-minute webinar will touch on the importance of providers having the capability to provide an accurate estimate of the patient’s financial responsibility at the time of service.
