Kathleen A. Murphy, PhD
Kathleen A. Murphy, PhD is CEO of Chi Solutions, Inc. She has more than 25 years of progressively responsible experience in diagnostic services management and consulting. As Chi’s senior executive, Dr. Murphy oversees complex engagements involving strategic options development, operations optimization, consolidation, and outreach program implementation. Helping hospitals compete with independent laboratories and imaging centers is a personal passion of Dr. Murphy’s. A speaker and author on the topics of outreach trends, operations improvement, and laboratory accreditation, she also directs the annual performance and publication of Chi’s Comprehensive National Laboratory Outreach Survey. Dr. Murphy’s education and training is primarily as a scientist. She received her PhD in microbiology from the University of North Dakota and has completed executive education at Dartmouth and Harvard Business School.
Larry Siedlick
Larry Siedlick is CEO of The ARx Group, a company that provides laboratory billing and revenue-management services to hospital outreach laboratories, pathology groups and independent laboratories throughout the U.S. Previously he was CEO of Sunrise Medical Laboratories, which he co-founded in 1972. Mr. Siedlick has more than 35 years of executive-level experience in the laboratory industry. He is a former chairman of the New York State Clinical Laboratory Association and has been a strong voice for adequate reimbursement for laboratories at both the state and national legislative level. Mr. Siedlick is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), the Healthcare Billing and Management Association (HBMA) and the Clinical Laboratory Management Association (CLMA). He has spoken at numerous laboratory conferences, business conferences and corporations in the U.S., Canada and the United Kingdom and his management and business strategies have been the subject of several professional publications.
